Photographs By Robin Parmar

Sometimes I am fascinated by the beauty in natural things, so I will stop to capture a flower at one small moment in its life. At another time I might chance upon a wall in shade, or a fragment of society's detritus, or an elegant architectural form. In each instance I strive to capture something essential about the formal properties of what I see, and fix this in the image. I love spontaneity and rarely stage anything for the lens.

On other occasions I might be working within a particular aesthetic or philosophical programme. One such project is Telemetry.

Please contact me about buying my photographs as limited edition prints. Some are not available for personal or rights reasons, but most are.

I am proud to say that a selection of my photographs have been included in the Pentax Photo Gallery.

A few of my photos have been used in the Schmap tourist guides online. I have had a photo placed in national paper the Irish Examiner and international magazine The Wire.

Besides all of this I am the keeper of obscure information on Pentax-compatible Vivitar 28mm manual focus lenses. Check out the Vivitar Bestiary. I also host the master page for the Pentax Forums' Traveling Nifty Fifty project.
